The Lincoln Lawyer

Matthew McConaughey stars in this courtroom drama as Mick Haller, a brilliant lawyer that is possibly the best at what he does, legally and illegally. The film's main plot involves Haller taking on a client, Louis Roulet (played by Ryan Phillippe), a son of a wealthy family who is convicted of attacking a prostitute even though Haller has doubts about his innocence. This storyline is effectively suspenseful with plot twists that keep the viewer's interest up until the very end. The side plots and supporting characters were also effective in the sense that they gave depth to McConaughey's character. This film is an impressive dialogue and plot driven thriller that you definitely don't want to miss! Grade A.
